art tech culture 1.14 : Online Distribution

This week’s show about online distribution was late which must have been delivered via postal mail because as artists, we’ve found that the Internet has changed the game for selling art work, whether they are reproductions or an unique piece of work.

We mentioned iTunes, Lulu and CafePress as avenues to reproduce and distribute music, books and other forms of works.

The warehouse shot is from IKEA auto-warehouse in Germany and the overlay of electrons is a visualization of how BitTorrent works.

The song for this show is “The Gold Bug” by The Alan Parsons Project.

art tech culture 1.13 : Composite

This was our 13th show, which to us is the start of a new season in ‘TV terms’, or one quarter into the year.

So with a new season, we referenced a couple past shows and moved on to talk about composites; video, manufacturing, art and the numbers that rule them all. Background video thanks to various anonymous painters. And yes, we can be a bit obsessed about the number 42.

This week’s song is an extended version of Alan Braxe and Fred Falke’s “Rubicon”.

The music this week is thanks to Simmetra Roberts and the song is called “Muted Heart”.
