The intentionally distracting talking sandwich is from one of many Florida Orange Juice commercials from the late 1990s, but Alex endorses RescueTime right now which measures his late night video editing even though he blames the Olympics, while Ted implores against it.
Distractions can be an addiction.

The flooding was from typhoon Ondoy which hit the Philippines in September 2009 and the beating heart art piece was the work of Billy Chasen, which was displayed at the American Heart Association‘s 2008 Heart of New York Gala. The studio video tour was from Ted Mayer’s studio in Winnipeg many years ago.
